Cultcode

QUESTIONS, ANSWERED.

Everything you might want to know before listing your project on CultCode.

What is CultCode?

CultCode is a curated directory for indie builders. It's free to browse — a place to find genuinely interesting projects made by real people. Getting your own project listed is a one-time paid submission that goes through human review first.

Why do I have to pay to list?

The fee keeps the directory curated. Free submission floods any directory with spam, dead links, and affiliate farms. A small one-time price plus manual review means everything listed is something a real person chose to ship and stand behind.

What do I actually get?

A permanent listing page at cultcode.dev/p/your-slug, a share-ready OG image, a spot in the directory and the homepage “Just Dropped” feed, and a dofollow link to your project. Featured listings get even more visibility.

How long does review take?

Every listing is reviewed by a human within 48 hours — usually same day. If we ever take longer than 72 hours, you get an automatic full refund. We check the link works and the project is real before publishing.

What gets rejected?

Spam, dead or broken links, affiliate farms, NSFW content, and crypto scams. If your project is a real thing you built, you have nothing to worry about.

What happens if I'm rejected — do I get refunded?

Yes. Payment doesn't guarantee approval, and if we reject your listing you get a full refund via Razorpay, typically within 5–7 business days. See our refund policy for details.

What's the difference between Standard and Featured?

Standard (₹499) gets you a permanent listing in the directory and “Just Dropped”. Featured (₹1,999) adds a featured slot on the homepage dark band, a featured badge everywhere your listing appears, and a bigger card — for when you want maximum visibility.

Can I edit my listing after approval?

Yes — just email us and we'll update it for you. Reach out via our contact page.

Do the links help SEO?

Your listing includes a dofollow link to your project, so it passes link equity. It also sits on a curated, human-reviewed page rather than a spammy link farm, which is the kind of link that actually matters.

Who runs this?

One indie builder — Soham Mayekar. He reviews every listing himself, no team, no outsourced moderation. Read the story on the about page, or ask anything via the contact page.

What does 'permanent' actually mean?

We never charge renewals and listings never expire. We reserve removal only for guideline violations — see the listing guidelines.

What payment methods do you accept?

One-time payments in INR through Razorpay — UPI, cards, and netbanking are all supported. No subscriptions, no recurring charges.

How does the founding member program work?

The first 30 founding members get a standard listing free. Slots are announced on our socials, so watch our launch posts to claim one before they run out.
